Clear-bottom kayaking in the mangroves was a beautiful experience! You start in the open ocean, where you can see the grassy bottom and hopefully some of the wildlife that inhabits it. You'll then enter a channel lined by mangroves where you'll get to enjoy some of the flora and fauna of the mangrove ecosystem. At one point you'll enter a very narrow channel of mangroves that will require you to lay back and direct yourself by pulling on mangroves since there's not enough room to paddle. This was our favorite part. Laying back and floating through a narrow tunnel of vegetation was magical. Our guide (I don't recall his name unfortunately) was very friendly and even took our picture for us.
Sara did a great job leading our group of 5. We had 2 kids , 12 and 15 and she was very attentive and we all learned a lot about the wildlife and the mangroves. Would highly recommend for both new kayakers and those who have kayaked . Thanks Sara
Sara was our guide for this trip. Knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves once we found it. It's a little difficult to find and no signage to help direct you.
We went on a 9 AM tour with Sara this past weekend and it was amazing. The tour guide was EXCELLENT! I loved the fact that it was a small group. She made my sister-in-law and I feel very comfortable even though we hadn't kayaked in years. She was extremely knowledgeable on what we were seeing and helping spot wildlife. We saw at least one nurse shark and a lot of jellyfish. Being in a clear kayak was extremely cool - like your own personal glass bottom boat. Finally she even took the time to send us a few photos and videos of our experience. Can't recommend this tour enough. Will definitely re-visit next time we are in the area.
